Transparency & Government Requests
How StatusPage.me handles lawful requests for customer information.
StatusPage.me operates under Serbian law. We do not voluntarily disclose customer information to foreign authorities outside a valid legal process applicable to us.
We review requests from governments, law-enforcement agencies, courts, and other public authorities for legal validity, jurisdiction, scope, and necessity. Where disclosure is legally required, we provide only the information specifically required by the valid request.
Our principles
Valid legal process
A request is not binding merely because it comes from a government or law-enforcement agency. It must have a valid legal basis applicable to StatusPage.me. Foreign-government requests must follow an applicable legal process, which may include recognized international legal-assistance procedures.
Review and challenge
We review authenticity, the requesting authority, jurisdiction, legal basis, scope, the affected account or data, and whether the requested information is actually available to us.
Where legally possible, we may reject, challenge, or seek to narrow requests that are invalid, improperly issued, or overly broad.
Data minimization
If disclosure is legally required, we disclose only the information specifically required by the valid request. A request for one account or one category of information does not justify disclosing unrelated account or platform data. This follows the same data-minimization approach described in our Privacy Practices.
User notification
Where legally permitted, we intend to notify the affected customer before information is disclosed. If we are temporarily prohibited from notifying the customer, we may notify them after that restriction expires where legally permitted.
Preservation requests
A valid preservation request may require us to temporarily preserve existing information that would otherwise be deleted. Preservation does not by itself mean that the information has been disclosed.
Data we do not have
Privacy by design and data minimization limit what StatusPage.me can disclose in the first place. For example, our application does not retain raw IP addresses in its database or logs. See Privacy Practices for details of the data we collect and reduce.
Government Request Statistics
No reporting period has been published yet. This is not a claim that StatusPage.me has received zero requests. Once verified annual figures are available, this section will publish aggregate counts without identifying customers, requesting authorities, countries, case numbers, or other case details.
