Transferring a Status Page

Last updated: 2026-05-15

You can transfer full ownership of a status page to another StatusPage.me user. After the transfer, the recipient becomes the owner and it is removed from your account.

Where to Find It

In the dashboard, open:

  • Status Pages → select your status page → Settings → scroll to the Transfer section

What Transfers With the Page

The full status page transfers including:

  • All monitors attached to it
  • All subscribers
  • All settings (domain, branding, notification configs)
  • Historical incidents and maintenances

How to Initiate a Transfer

  1. Go to Status Pages → Settings for the page you want to transfer
  2. Scroll to the Transfer Status Page section
  3. Enter the email address of the recipient (they must already have a StatusPage.me account)
  4. Confirm your password to authorize the transfer
  5. Click Send Transfer Invitation

The recipient receives an email with a link to accept the transfer. A pending transfer notice appears on the settings page until they accept or you cancel it.

How the Recipient Accepts

  1. The recipient opens the transfer link in the email
  2. A confirmation page shows the status page name, monitor count, and subscriber count
  3. They click Accept Transfer to take ownership

The status page immediately moves to their account.

Cancelling a Pending Transfer

If you change your mind before the recipient accepts:

  1. Go back to Status Pages → Settings
  2. Find the pending transfer notice
  3. Click Cancel Transfer

The transfer is cancelled and the status page remains in your account.

Plan Limits

The recipient must have available status page slots on their plan (or add-ons) to accept the transfer. If their plan limit is reached, the transfer cannot be completed.
